Good morning all, and Happy (day after) thanksgiving.
I am new to this site as of 10 minutes ago. I live in Maryland and love to fish the Chesapeake Bay, and also like Bass fishing.
It seems as though there is a lot of good information on this site, and I am glad to be a new member.

I am 6'5 and 320 pounds, which is I guess why my friends call me call me "Big Tim".

I was fishing in the Northern Neck Virginia area near Smith Point last Sunday and hooked into a 38.5 inch Rockfish, caught on an umbrella rig with a 6 oz parachute.

Going again tomorrow out of Solomons Island (Southern Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay) on a Charter Boat looking for a little bigger "Hog" this time.

I'll let you know how we did.

One of my favorite sayings is "A day on the water is the best therapy that anyone could ever have."

Nice to meet all of you,

Big Tim

S.F. 49ers are lookin' to shore up the front offensive line. Singletary is bringin' them around, and with a big brute like yourself in there it could happen even faster! LOL

Nice lookin' striper in your avatar there!

Interesting digs you got for fishing grounds back there. Lookin' forward to your future reports & pics.

That's a heck of a rockfish...our lingcod usually don't even get that long! What do they call them besides rockfish, (species)? We have a plethora of names given to the Pacific variety.

East Coast "rockfish" = Striped Bass

Funny how different area's have different nicknames for the same thing.
