I quess I better introduce myself, I live on the Alabama Gulf coast, so I guess you know why I'm not out fishing, I've been a boat mechanic for about 35 years (mostly outboard), and fished and dove from Fla to Micronesia, ain't never seen a bigger mess than whats in the gulf right now, I wonder when and if we'll ever see clear water again, it don't do any good to bitch, I'm just afraid of long term effects. guess I'll go now, enjoyed what I've seen here so far...............later

I've just been in turmoil over that whole ordeal myself, and I don't even live there. A real shame what mankind has done to our planet, the disrespect, lack of concern, etc.

Hey, bitch all you want. Everyone needs to vent & get the frustrations off their backs and commune with good folk that give a rat's ass.

One of the 1st things I was gonna ask was about the oil tragedy, but you covered that already. Fishin' still okay out here, but plenty of rules/regs to follow to keep in sync with what's goin' on all the time. You almost need to carry the reg manuel in your back pocket to keep up with all the changes. Lots of people out here though, so the demand is greater than the output.

Hope you can find some solace in the fresh water lakes/rivers back that way. Good on you to be able to retire at your age. I got maybe 10 more years if I can hold out, and I'm older than you. Time I can call time my own I'll have one foot in the grave probably...LOL!

That diving thing has got to interesting as all hell, however I was always afraid the damned tanks would run out of air, or a shark would nip my keester.

You take care and keep us posted on the happenings. Just from your introduction one can tell you're an honest upstanding individual.
